Italian-bed-and-breakfast.com is a new project aiming at creating value in the market of high-quality tourism. This website present itself as a virtual space where the always increasing demand of “alternative tourism” in Italy and Europe meets the independent lodging establishments known as “bed and breakfasts”, now spread all over Italy. Bed and Breakfasts offer a different kind of accommodation from regular hotels’accomodation. This website comes from an idea by Gabriele Erba e Gianluigi Calcaterra and it’s privately managed and run. It’s a completely free website, both for users and inn-keepers who can submit their properties and receive on line bookings.

Our mission

Our goal is to become the main reference website for users, tourists and travellers looking for an original and “local-friendly” accommodation, different from regular hotels’ accommodation. On developing the project, we want to create a complete managerial software for Bed and Breakfast and farm-houses, a tool which will be integrated in our websites. The software will be released under GPL licence to every inn-keeper, allowing them to set up a “virtual shop” to sell their local products (such as wine, oil, cheese, crafts). This tool also allow inn-keepers to reach potential customers all over the world, at the same time promoting their territories.
